I really enjoyed The Huntress by Kate Quinn because I like stories about strong women. Nina is a tough, a former Russian bomber pilot who has been through a lot but keeps pushing forward. Jordan is a teenage girl in post-war Boston trying to find her place in a world that feels strange. I loved how their two stories slowly came together. They are quite different, but both have a quiet strength that makes them interesting. What really stayed with me, though, is the emotional weight of it all - the grief and the secrets of war. Even the "huntress" herself is written with depth, which makes the story feel layered instead of simple good vs. evil. If you love character-driven historical fiction with strong women and moral gray areas, this one is such a good pick - especially for book clubs. |
