This is a book of the year contender for me. I loved it and could not put it down. It draws you in slowly to the Adirondack mountains at an elite summer camp in the 1970's. The daughter of the camp's owner goes missing, but what makes this suspicious is the son also went missing years before, never to be found. This atmospheric thriller has plenty of family dynamics, and the mountain camp is the perfect location to create a twisty mystery. There's a large cast of well-developed characters that provides plenty of opportunity to dive into family drama, class division, grief, and privilege. Liz Moore's storytelling is masterful; don't miss this one. |
