PBR Review: (by- Linda)
Right from the start, I could tell this was a story that would pull me in. I thought it was a nice mix of romance and spy thriller. However, as someone who loves historical fiction, this book does not feel like a thriller; it feels like historical romance. But it's a compelling read, and I should note the romance is not too over the top. What did it for me was the depth of characters and the book's focus on the Manhattan Project. I loved that Rosalind was not just a scientist but also a woman, trying to reconcile the guilt of being involved in something that caused so many deaths. This is an intriguing read that is a page-turner, perfect for those that enjoy historical fiction. Recommend. |
