PBR Review: (by- Linda)
The beautiful cover that catches your eye and the idea of a Black woman passing for White is just the beginning. The real crux of this book is identity. This is one of those books with so much to say and think about. It's about twins, who are on opposite ends of the spectrum where race is concerned. One embraces her Black heritage, while the other rejects it and lives as a White woman. As you can guess, the story brings up a huge range of emotions. It's a very compelling read. Can you have peace if you live in fear of being discovered? This is a good book that will stay with you for a long time. Highly Recommend. |
