Jewell delivers once again with this mystery/thriller I didn't want to put down. She's one of my go-to authors, and with good reason, her style is sharp and engaging with characters that are unique and complicated. Then She Was Gone is about a young girl who goes missing and the tidal wave of grief and betrayal that follows. I was on the edge of my seat and must admit I didn't see the plot twists coming. Not only is this story a mystery, but a family drama. You're drawn into the family dynamics as you watch them struggle and try to rebuild their lives, revealing their frailties and hopes for the future. This story stayed with me for quite some time; grab this one for your Book Club!
