Book Review

(by- Linda )

I absolutely loved The Queens of Crime! Marie Benedict has done it again-bringing history to life through the eyes of women who made a real impact. This time, she shines a spotlight on the powerhouse authors behind the golden age of crime fiction, including Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, and others who often don't receive the credit they deserve.

The book reads like part biography, part historical fiction, and it flows so naturally, you feel like you're sitting in the room with these women, hearing their thoughts, struggles, and ambitions. I especially appreciated how it explored not just their careers but also their personal lives-the choices they had to make, the barriers they faced, and how they supported (and challenged) one another.

This is a great book for fans of classic mysteries or those who love reading about women in history. It's well-researched and engaging, and it left me wanting more. Highly recommend!
