One of the most compelling aspects of the story is the stark contrast between the two mothers. Homa's mother embraces Ellie with open arms. I knew very little about Iran's history, so for me, much of what was happening was new. Overall, this is a thought-provoking story that offers a glimpse into a fascinating period in Iranian history. Highly recommend.
