Semiramis is a complex and fascinating character who is ambitious, intelligent, and morally ambiguous. Her actions, motivations, and choices are debatable, and her early life is tragic. But is this enough to justify some of her behaviors? The backdrop of Babylon's unique history and culture is also fascinating. A solid historical fiction read with plenty to discuss, perfect for fans of strong female characters and ancient history. |
