Book Review

(by- Linda )

If you're looking for a book that truly transports you and makes you feel like you're right there with the characters. Taylor Jenkins Reid's "Atmosphere" is a must-read. She has this incredible way of writing that feels so real.

This book kept me turning the pages. The topic of space travel was fascinating, and the characters were unforgettable. I also loved reading about Joan as she breaks into the male-dominated NASA space program. Reid doesn't shy away from showing Joan's uphill battle, dealing with sexist remarks and general attitudes from the men around her who think she's not up to a man's task. It makes her story of resilience even more compelling. There is also a beautiful love story. I don't often cry, but I found myself tearing up several times while reading this story.

I was also lucky enough to attend a Barnes & Noble author event for "Atmosphere" with Taylor Jenkins Reid at a packed auditorium-seriously, even the balcony was full! She was an absolutely amazing speaker, open, engaging and insightful, and the audience's response was overwhelming: her fans love her. I had an absolutely fantastic evening with her and fellow readers!
